The International Conference on Neuroprosthetic Devices (ICNPD)-2012 took place on November 19-20, 2012.
This unique conference featured six panel discussion sessions, in which 31 panelists from 11 countries (Germany, USA, Australia, UK, Israel, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, France, and South Korea) presented their novel approaches and ideas addressing key unresolved innovation challenges in neuroprosthetics. The emphasis was placed on international exchange of ideas needed for solving these challenges through a development of emerging technologies and analytical approaches. Topics covered at the conference included prosthetics for muscle paralysis and vision, fabrication technologies for recording and stimulation electrodes, electrode assessment and testing, device packaging, and other novel technologies.
